Running Through the Yucatán

We continued our global half marathon expansion with Rock 'n' Roll's first annual run in Mérida. The Yucatán capital boasts Mayan, Spanish, French, British and Dutch influence, as well as the highest percentage of indigenous population of any large Mexican city.

Winding Down in Bondi

Several months ago I planned a solo vacation to Australia and Bali. This was BS - Before School. Before my life's steady rhythm would change significantly for the next 21 months. The timing would end up working out ideally, as I had no idea just how badly I needed to truly vacate and decompress until I arrived in Sydney, right eye twitching and shoulders weighing heavy.

SX Aside: Dallas & Ft. Worth

Dallas made the cut for our 2015 Rock 'n' Roll half marathon streak. I'd been through both D-Town and Ft. Worth for work but had never truly spent time in either city. We scored an adorable Airbnb in the budding hipster Lower Greenville neighborhood in East Dallas. We were just blocks from the active stretch of restaurants and bars along Greenville.
