Nashville: The Economic Stimulus Edition

This past weekend I went to Nashville with 3 of my best friends. Two of us ran the Nashville Country Music Half Marathon benefiting St. Jude’s Hospital. The run was part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series, and all of Music City seemed to get involved in the event, running or not. It was an awesome long weekend and great excuse for some girl bonding and fun. Naturally, after the 13.1-mile endeavor, we stuck to our priorities: shopping, eating and drinking.

Beyond BroadwayMusic Row and the Opry, Nashville is an incredible blend of southern charm and chic, current style. I wasn’t prepared for the upgrade wardrobes I locked in but was pumped to find a great mix of eclectic boutiques, savvy shops and vintage stores. I love shopping when I travel and do so almost exclusively. It makes my boudoir a bit of a travel time capsule/memory explosion.

We spent the bulk of Saturday in 12 South, Nashy’s trendy neighborhood situated just south of Music Row and east of Vanderbilt. You’re welcome, local economy. Thank Amex and us next visit.
